A JAPANESE SATSUMA SAKE CUP
MEIJI PERIOD, 19TH CENTURY
Decorated to the well with a beauty and a boy, their clothes swept by the wind and the child raising his hands in surprise as his hat is blown away by the storm, the rim with a band of chevrons, raised on a short foot and with a seal mark to the base, possibly for Seizan, in a small cardboard box stamped 'Yamanaka & Co. Dealers in works of art, Kyoto Japan', 7.5cm. (2)
