TWO JAPANESE BRONZE MODELS OF ANIMALS, OKIMONO

MEIJI PERIOD, 19TH CENTURY

One modelled as a lion standing four-square with its head raised and baring its teeth, inscribed Mitsumoto saku, the other an incense burner and lid, koro, modelled as a tanuki racoon dog turning into a kettle, signed, 26cm max. (3)

Provenance: from an English private collection acquired in Asia c.1920, and thence by descent.
