A pair of George IV silver-gilt salt cellars,

by John Wakefield, London 1825,

heavy circular cauldron form, embossed foliate decoration, on three scroll legs with fluted pad feet, capped with Chinoiserie heads, the undersides inscribed 'From Miss Price to Mr and Mrs David Haig, upon their Marriage, 17 March 1828', with a pair of Scottish silver-gilt salt spoons, diameter 9cm, approx. weight 12.8oz. (4)

The crest is that of David Haig of Glenagil.
