A matched pair of Edwardian German novelty sugar casters,
one with import marks for London 1902, importer's mark of A. Marx and Co., the other Birmingham 1901, importer's mark of Eugene Henry Posen,
modelled as a cockerel and a hen, their circular bellies with patterned decoration, hinged wings, the pull-off heads reveal a pierced cover with a chicken finial, height 18cm and 17.3cm, approx. weight 22oz. (2)
