A fine George III silver snuff box,
by Joseph Willmore, Birmingham 1806,
curved rectangular form, with two hinged covers on a diagonal flush hinge, engraved decoration, with an oval cartouche inscribed 'Presented to Mr W. Thompson, by his captains as a mark of their esteem, Jan 1 1856', gilded interior, length 7.5cm, approx. weight 1.4oz.
