A set of five George III silver stacking beakers,

by John Robins, London 1794,

tapering circular form, engraved with a crest and motto 'Hope is not Lost', height of tallest 10.8cm, approx. weight 23.8oz. (5)

Provenance:

A Private Collection

purchased from J.H. Bourdon-Smith Ltd. 22 September 1977.

The crest is that of the Hope family (as used by Hope of Craigiehall, co. Linlithgow).
