A George III provincial silver tankard,
by John Langlands, Newcastle 1769,
tapering circular form, the scroll handle scratch initialled 'S' over 'TA' and terminating in a heart motif, the domed hinged cover with a pierced thumb-piece, height 16.5cm, approx. weight 21.6oz.
