Description
A Dutch-engraved light baluster goblet c.1765, the generous rounded funnel bowl engraved with two ships at sail, flying long pennants, inscribed 'De Nobele Zeevaart' (The Noble Shipping), raised on a 'Newcastle' type baluster stem with a beaded knop above a conical foot, a 1.5cm section of the rim broken and restuck, 22.2cm.
