Description
A rare and early Worcester blue and white tart or patty pan c.1753-54, the deep saucer form painted with the Patty Pan Angler pattern with a figure fishing from a boat beneath a willow tree, the interior sides with flowering branches, the exterior with stylized sprigs, workman's mark, broken and restuck, 13.6cm.
Provenance: a private collection in London.
