with cross and feather banding, the hinged fall revealing an interior with an arrangement of pigeonholes, drawers and a central panelled cupboard door flanked by a pair of secret pilaster compartments, with a sliding well cover and a later leather writing surface, above two short and two long drawers and bracket feet
