in a mahogany case with a sliding cover, with a rectangular plaque, inscribed 'Spelling Alphabet', the interior with twenty-seven divisions containing one hundred and forty-nine bone letters, the majority double sided, one or two associated and some later paper facsimilies (not included in the total)
