AN EARLY VICTORIAN OAK 'YORK MINSTER' TOBACCO BOX

DATED '1840'

presumably made from the remains of York Minster after the fire of 1840, with a part hinged lid with a silver plaque engraved with a view of the burning York Minster and dated 'May 20th 1840'
