with brass mounts and of sarcophagus shape, the hinged lid inset with a brass plaque, engraved with a rampant leopard crest and the initials 'C. M. S.', the later converted baize lined interior with a divided lift-out tray for silver, with side lion's mask ring handles, on ball feet
