MEIJI 1868-1912
carved with three boys, two clambering over him, one with a toy carp, with a red seal mark to the underside, signed 'Munehide / Soshu', on a naturalistic carved wood base, together with a Chinese ivory figure of a bearded scholar, asleep standing up, possibly 18th century, on a later hardwood stand (2)
