brass bound, the hinged lid with a vacant plaque, the underside with a printed list and a facsimile photograph of contents and fitted with three trays of various medical instruments and utensils, some possibly associated, with two ivory plaques, inscribed 'Down Bros Makers and opposite Guys Hospital'
