Description
A Martin Brothers stoneware bird jar and cover by Robert Wallace Martin, modelled standing on long slender legs, long tail feathers and wings tucked in, with long, slender beak and staring eyes, glazed brown ochre and green with pale blue highlights, on ebonised wood base, incised R W Martin & Brothers London & Southall to head and Martin Bros London to base, small chip to rim of inner rim of head, 28.5cm. high (2)
