The Light of the World a large church standard for the Independent Church Stand in Radcliffe Manchester, embroidered with The Light of the World after the painting by William Holman Hunt, 1853-54, flanked by white lily stems, the reverse inscribed Independent Church Stand 1792-1928, 280cm. high, 178cm. wide.

The Independent chapel in Stand was built in 1792 and demolished to make way for a new church in 1885 the Stand United Reform Church.
