Near East, 11th - 12th century

woven in red, brown and cream silks of confronting birds on a palmette platform within a wreath,

19.5cm x 20.5cm, mounted,

and an Islamic silk fragment, worked a lion amidst foliage, 16cm x 5.5cm. (2)
