Description
A very scarce British volunteer Lancaster pattern bayonet, pipe-backed blade 23.75 in., steel hilt with leather grips, steel mounted leather scabbard. This pattern was introduced with the oval bored Lancaster rifle, the regular Sappers and Miners version having a brass hilt.
