A .52 calibre double barrelled Jacob's pattern percussion carbine, by Swinburn & Son, 25 in. barrels bored smooth, right barrel with bayonet lug, pattern-browned top rib to within 3 in. of the muzzles, bead fore sight, one standing and four folding leaf sights and a ladder back sight; back action locks engraved 'SWINBURN & SON 1859'; half stock with steel furniture including patch box cover engraved 'JACOBS RIFLES', steel jag head ram rod.
