Description
A Victorian silver and enamel double-ended medicine spoon,
by George Adams, London 1868, retailed by Asprey, 166 Bond Street & 22 Albermale Street,
the centre section enamelled with the coat of arms of Gooch, length 17.8cm, plus a modern silver double-ended medicine spoon, by Wakeley and Wheeler, London 1955, approx. total weight 4oz. (2)
The arms are those of either Gooch of Benacre (created 1746) for Sir Francis Robert Sherlock Lambert Gooch, 8th Baronet, between 1856 and 1881, or Gooch of Clewer Park (created 1866) for Sir Daniel Gooch,(1816-1889), 1st Baronet.
