Description
A George III silver sauce boat,
by Matthew West, Dublin, circa 1770-80,
oval form, leaf capped scroll handle, punch-bead border, embossed with medallions and drapes, with a crest within a laurel cartouche, on three hoof feet, length 18.5cm, approx. weight 6.2oz.
Provenance: A Private Collection of Irish Silver.
The crest is that of Bourke, Burke, Burgh, De Burgh and others.
