A 9 carat gem set gold presentation cigarette case,
maker's mark of KW, London 1972,
oval rectangular form, fluted decoration, flush-hinged cover set with a gem set badge of the 4th Queen's Own Hussars, plain thumb-piece, the interior inscribed 'A Friend? What is a Friend? Just one with who you Dare to be yourself, Bless you and Thank You, Nicky', length 9.4cm, approx. weight 122g.
Provenance: from the family collections of Captain George Lionel Jameson OBE (1880-1961), Colonel Jocelyn Elliott Armstrong (1903-2001), and their descendants.
