Description

A George III silver salver,

by Paul Storr, London 1814,

circular form, with a cast and pierced border of vine leaves and bunches of grapes, fluted outer border, the centre with a crest, on three vine-mounted shell bracket feet, the underside stamped 'Rundell Bridge et Rundell Aurifices Regis et Principis Walliae Regentis Britannias', diameter 30.5cm. approx. weight 46oz.

Sold by direction of the executors of the late Sylvia Quance. From the collection of Gordon W Quance.

Purchased from Spink and Son Ltd., St. James's, London, 21 September 1965.

The crest is that of Bridge (of Piddle Trenthide in Dorset), for Thomas John London Bridge.
