Description

A Victorian silver-mounted cut glass claret jug,

by Richards and Brown, London 1857,

the faceted baluster body with engraved vine and bunches of grape decoration, the mount with pierced trailing vine decoration, simulated vine scroll handle, with a silver-mounted stopper, height 29.5cm.

Provenance

The Estate of the late Jane Sumner.

The crest is that of Benton/Clack and Pease.
