A VICTORIAN MINERAL COLLECTION
ARRANGED BY MR TENNANT, c.1860-70
comprising: approximately one hundred and eighty specimens including minerals such as quartz, jasper and garnet, metals including: antimony, zinc and copper, rocks and fossils, each numbered specimen contained in a card tray (some double) and contained in five mahogany lift-out trays within a mahogany case, the underside of the lid with a printed label inscribed 'Mr. Tennant, Mineralogist by Appointment to her Majesty, 149, Strand, London' with a price list for various sizes of cabinets with list of approximate contents
