Description

A CHINESE WHITE JADE 'GOOSE' PLAQUE

YUAN/MING DYNASTY

The oval plaque decorated in openwork with a swooping goose amongst lotus blooms and leaves, the bird carved and incised with details of its plumage, with three small waves below, the pale stone with some minor grey inclusions and white mottling, 8.4cm.

Provenance: purchased from Marchant on 7th October 1997.
