A LARGE CHINESE FAMILLE VERTE 'BIRDS AND FLOWERS' BALUSTER VASE

The body painted with three rows of interlocking panels, the scenes depicting butterflies fluttering and magpies perching amongst many blossoming flowers including hydrangea, magnolia, lotus, prunus, poppies and camellia, the shoulder with blue and yellow ruyi-heads reserved on a green ground, with chrysanthemum and peony scrolls to the short neck and encircling the finial, the matched cover decorated with two cartouches enclosing mythical beasts and three containing further blooms, 56.7cm.
