Description

A FINE CHINESE IMPERIAL FAMILLE ROSE MEDALLION BOWL
SIX CHARACTER JIAQING MARK AND OF THE PERIOD 1796-1820
The U-shaped body rising from a straight foot to an everted rim, brightly enamelled with many roundels of stylised floral motifs scattered over the exterior, with some of the medallions enclosing fruit, the base with the reign mark in iron-red, 21.5cm.
Provenance: purchased from Dominic Jellinek in June 1999.
