A SMALL COLLECTION OF JAPANESE 'BLACK SHIP' IMARI ITEMS
MEIJI PERIOD OR LATER, 19TH CENTURY OR LATER
Including a small square-section teacup with ships on two sides and flowers and reishi heads on a red ground on the others, the base inscribed in Chinese Da Ming Chenghua nian zhi; together with a set of six dishes with a central ship and a border of European standing figures, the bases with a fuku mark; and a pair of rectangular trays with similar decoration, 33.6cm max. (9)
