A LARGE JAPANESE BLUE AND WHITE JAR AND COVER
MEIJI PERIOD OR LATER, 19TH OR 20TH CENTURY
The ovoid body decorated with birds perched amongst flowering branches of peony, prunus, iris and chrysanthemum, a band of cranes in flight amongst scrolling clouds above the foot and on the lid, the top of the cover painted with further flowers and foliage, unsigned, 33cm overall. (2)
