A CLOISONNE CROSS, POSSIBLY JAPANESE
19TH CENTURY
Decorated with the central figure of Christ with his left hand raised in blessing; the end of each arm with a symbol relating to the Evangelists (the angel of Matthew, the eagle of John, the winged bull of Luke and the winged lion of Mark), with medallions enclosing flowerheads and further small blossoms on a turquoise ground, 26cm.
