AN INDIAN STONE HEAD OF A BODHISATTVA
PROBABLY 9TH/10TH CENTURY
Carved bearing a serene expression, the face framed by the figure's elongated ears, all attached to a modern stand, 19cm.
Provenance: formerly the collection of Gordon Watson, and then purchased from Sotheby's London on 26th October 2006, lot 9. A copy of the invoice is available.
