A TIBETAN PAINTED AND GILT-WOOD PORTABLE SHRINE

18TH CENTURY OR EARLIER

Carved in relief to the front with a stylised elephant-like beast amongst large scrolls, the interior with two dragons and a winged mythical creature surrounding a panel supported on a table, with large colourful lappets to the foot, 38cm. (2)

Provenance: from a UK private collection, London, acquired in 2002.
