Description
A CHINESE CELADON JADE BRUSH WASHER
MING DYNASTY
Formed as a flowerhead with a raised boss to the well, carved in high relief to the exterior with further blossoms growing from twisting leafy branches, the greyish-green stone with russet inclusions, 12.5cm.
Provenance: from the collection of Sir Raymond Smith KBE (1917-2002) and Lady Smith (1918-1996).
