A CHINESE WHITE JADE 'AUBERGINE' SNUFF BOTTLE
18TH/19TH CENTURY
Formed as two large aubergines issuing from branches, with leaves trailing over them, one side carved with a butterfly in flight, the other with another insect, with a circular hole to the top, the interior well-hollowed, the stone of an even tone with some minor inclusions, 7.8cm.
