A CHINESE BEIJING THREE-COLOUR OVERLAY GLASS BOTTLE VASE AND A PAIR OF WHITE GLASS WINE CUPS

QING DYNASTY

The vase carved through blue, green and red glass to an opaque white ground, decorated with four lion dogs playing with beribboned brocade balls, the wine cups with deep U-shaped bodies rising from short straight feet and flaring at the rims, each cup with a reticulated wood stand, 14.7cm max. (5)

Provenance: from an English private collection, West Yorkshire, formed in the 1970s and 1980s.
