A CHINESE ORANGE-GROUND EMBROIDERED SILK 'DRAGON' ROBE
LATE QING DYNASTY
Embroidered in gold and silk thread with dragons in flight over rocks and crashing waves, with flowers and beribboned precious objects in Peking knot around the mythical beasts, all reserved on a pale orange ground, the interior lined with blue, 165cm across, 102cm long.
