Description

A CHINESE BRONZE FIGURE OF AN OFFICIAL
MING DYNASTY
He stands tall with his hands held before his chest, dressed in loose robes detailed at the edges with floral scrolls, the lower section of the garment embellished with strings of beads, his high-backed hat secured with a pin and a cord tied with a bow around his neck, with a content and serene expression on his well-defined face, 27.8cm, 1.3kg.
Provenance: from a deceased estate, Hampshire, purchased from Gerard Hawthorn Ltd on 25th October 2005. A copy of the invoice is available.
