A PAIR OF CHINESE FAMILLE VERTE 'PRECIOUS OBJECTS' OVOID VASES

KANGXI 1662-1722

Each painted with two large panels enclosing various precious objects including archaistic vessels, books and scholars' objects, each with two further panels containing large flowering branches, the shoulders decorated with ruyi-shaped panels enclosing cash motifs, the covers probably Samson, painted with floral sprays and ruyi-heads, each with a paper label for Sydney L Moss Ltd, 25.6cm. (4)
