Catalogue notes
Anna Pavlova came to Europe in 1908. she was described by Diaghilev as 'the greatest ballerina in the world,... she does not dance, but floats'. This figure, created by an unknown designer, was introduced in 1921, and re-introduced after Pavlova's death in 1931.
