the brass eight day movement with five turned and finned pillars, with an anchor escapement striking on a bell, the twelve inch brass arched dial with Roman and Arabic numerals, the matted centre engraved with a basket of flowers and birds, with a subsidiary seconds dial and date aperture, signed 'Iam Iorden, Chatham', with gilt boys and crown spandrels, the arch with an engraved boss, the black and green lacquer case with gilt highlights decorated with chinoiserie scenes
