Description
An 18th century gold-mounted glass scent bottle,
the cover unmarked, circa 1780,
slender baluster form, fluted cover, the body decorated and enamelled with a swan, a butterfly and foliate decoration, in a fitted case, plus an unmarked gold-mounted nut, the hinged cover opens to reveal a small compartment, with a chain attachment, and a gilt-metal mounted green glass scent bottle, with pierced foliate decoration, the hinged cover set with six green stones.
