Description

A 17th century silver counter box and twenty five gaming counters,
the box unmarked, the counters by Simon de Passe, circa 1620,
circular form, bayonet fitting cover, the gaming counters with an image of James I and on the reverse his son Charles, height of box 2.1cm, diameter of medallions 2.6cm, approx. weight 2.8oz.
Provenance: purchased from Dreweatt and Neate, 5 November 1997.
