A set of four George II Irish silver Rococo candlesticks,
by Thomas Williamson, Dublin circa 1740,
foliate scroll baluster stems, spool shaped capitals, on raised shaped circular bases with foliate scroll and rocaille decoration, engraved with a crest, height 29cm, approx. weight 197oz. (4)
Provenance: purchased form Christie's, London, Fine Silver, 7 July 1990, lot 77A. From the collection of the late E.A.S, Barnard Esq.
The crest is that of Wellesley.
