worked with polychrome silks and wools on a linen ground, with a cottage flanked by a pair of baskets of fruit, with a pair of recumbent deer flanking a pious verse, with parrots and flowers in a floral border, signed and dated 'Mary Cave 1821', in a later glazed ebonised frame
