worked with coloured silks on a fine linen ground, in cross stitch, with a virtuous verse above baskets of flowers, urns of flowers and birds, with a Georgian red-brick house with a dovecote, signed and dated 'Caroline Wilkinson Her Work 1818', in a glazed bird's eye maple frame
