A LARGE ELIZABETHAN BRONZE MORTAR

ATTRIBUTED TO HENRY OLDFIELD II, NOTTINGHAM, LATE 16TH CENTURY

with an everted rim with the initials 'R' and 'H' in floriated Lombardic script of Rufford type, above four lug handles, two with rings and two cabled, flanked by four Gothic style buttress mouldings
