A RARE WILLIAM AND MARY NEEDLEWORK BAND SAMPLER

worked with polychrome silks on a undyed linen ground with various stitches including running, cross, Algerian eye, satin, chain and buttonhole with free-hand rows of flowers and a central purse or bourse, above a psalm, signed and dated 'Mary Hunt Was Born The 14th of September 1693', in a later glazed ebonised frame
