A REGENCY NEEDLEWORK DARNING SAMPLER

BY SARAH HATCH, PROBABLY NORWICH, DATED '1811'

worked in fine silk on a linen ground, with a central basket of flowers, with a ribbon tied oak leaf and acorn wreath and with blocks of four darns to either side and a central example, signed and dated 'Sarah Hatch 1811', in a glazed ebonised wood frame
